Madonna joins Rock and Roll Hall of Fame

Inducting Madonna into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, Justin Timberlake said: "She's done it by workings harder and being smarter than everybody else. As she made MTV the position to be seen, she racked up the greatest data track record in medicine history - 47 Top 40 hits. She became the biggest name on the planet the old fashioned way - she earned it."
During her acceptance speech, Blessed Virgin said: "It is a great award to receive this award, and I'm grateful and appreciative for the acknowledgement that this implies."
She also thanked those world Health Organization had helped her found her career and quoted from the Talmud.
"I suffer gone on to do so many things in my life, from writing children's books, to designing clothes, to directing a film. Merely for me it always does, and it always will, come plunk for to the music, so thank you," she said.
The other stars world Health Organization joined Madonna on the honor roll were John the Divine Mellencamp, Dutch Leonard Cohen, the Dave Mark Clark Five and the Ventures.
Blues great Little Bruno Walter was posthumously inducted in the sideman category, piece production and songwriting legends Kenneth Gamble and Leon Puff received the Ahmet Ertegun Prize.
Irish people singer-songwriter Damien Rice performed Elmore John Leonard Cohen's 'Hallelujah" at the observance.
